The First Day of Summer. . . .

"On the first day of summer
my true love said to me, "It is
too blamed hot to play baseball."

She did not say, "blamed".

On the first day of summer
some commercial airlines said
it is too gol-derned hot to let
planes try to take off.

They did not say, "gol-derned".

What is an "ecuestre"?

What is a Mountie canadien?

Concentration

"Right of way!  Heard about "right of way?"

"The kid has a great pick-off move."

"Kid!  What kid?  There ain't no kids here."

"Hello.  Hello!"

"Running down my chest. . . ."

"The thrill of agony, the victory of d' feet."

"Would it be a crime to play only six innings?"
The End

  1. But play they did and take off they did also and I didn't hear them say anything! (Of course I am 69 and probably don't hear a lot that is said.)
